Some sessions live in your memory like the last rays of a summer sunset—soft, golden, and full of warmth you want to hold onto forever. This shoot with Emma and Patrik was exactly that. We've known each other since our school days, shared classrooms, and even adventures abroad—like our travel journey to Croatia. Emma and Patrik have been together since high school, and now they're still side by side, studying together in the Netherlands. So much history, so much love.
Since we all happened to be home in Hungary, we planned an easygoing shoot at Lake Velence on a hot summer day. We waited until the sun was low and golden, letting the air cool and soften everything around us. The whole evening felt like a scene out of Mamma Mia—barefoot joy, shimmering water, and laughter carried on a breeze.
One of my favorite moments? Patrik brought along his analog camera. He's just getting into photography, and seeing him carry it with such quiet curiosity added a layer of sweetness to the whole experience. There's something so tender about watching someone begin to see the world through a lens.
And then—just when we thought the sun had disappeared behind a cloud and the best light was over—it reappeared. Like it had been saving its most magical moment for last.
For me, this session was something special. It was the first time I truly felt like I was finding my voice as a photographer. The storytelling, the light, the connection—it all came together in a way that still inspires me.
